✦ Commissions Currently Open! ✦
I have recently started doing commission work and decided to launch with something perhaps a bit less detailed but still tons of fun to facilitate my transition into an online side business - pet portraits! I love drawing cute animals, so this was the perfect place to begin. As I grow my experience, I hope to expand into other types of commissioned art, so stay tuned. Thanks for being here!

Terms & Guidelines
* Please read all of the guidelines and rules below carefully, should you decide to send a request *
Wherever ‘I/Me/My/Mine’ is stated, this refers to Tsvetina Doycheva/Canvas Owlet/the artist. Wherever ‘You/Your/You’re’ is stated, this refers to the client/customer/buyer (the person who has requested my services and will be sending payment)
- General Terms
- Prices are subject to change based on demand
- I have the right to reject any order for any reason
- I will be taking 3 - 5 commissions at a time, but this may vary (please don’t be offended if I decline your request!)
- Payment
- I accept payments through PayPal only, in GBP (£). Send to tina.doycheva@gmail.com
- Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval
- In either case, a 50% deposit is required upfront to secure the commission
- I will wait for your payment for a maximum of 7 days. If by then the payment isn’t sent, your slot will be cancelled
- Don't send me anything before I have agreed to give you a slot and request you to send me payment
- Process & Delivery
- Send the completed form. If at least one reference photo isn’t included or hasn’t been sent properly, you will have to re-send it via email. Please send me photos with decent resolution!
- If I accept your commission, I will send you a confirmation email that outlines your request and the due amount
- Send 50% - 100% of the amount, depending on what is agreed upon
- Once the payment is confirmed, I will start working
- I will send you an initial sketch and you can provide feedback, including requests for any changes
- I aim to complete and send the commission within a week but this may vary depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, possible technical difficulties and/or my free time
- If the length of completion needs to be expanded further for the above, or any other reason, I will contact you first so we can discuss it
- Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image
- Note that there is no physical product from me (maybe one day!) but feel free to print off the work for personalised cards, posters etc, if you’d like (see Copyright & Usage for more information)
- Revisions
- Once you see the initial sketch, you can ask for any tweaks you’d like and I will send you subsequent updates until you are happy with how it looks. Please do so within reason, I can't keep making changes forever, especially if I have other clients waiting!
- Please also note that I use the reference photo you have provided directly and I don’t do any pose deviations. This is for the sake of your portrait’s quality!
- A fee will be added if you want something changed on the final drawing unless there is a misunderstanding from my side. The amount will depend on how large a change you would like and how much extra time it takes me
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
- You are not allowed a full refund once I start working on the commission
- If for any reason I am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund
- If you cancel your order before I start it, you will receive a full refund
- If you wish to cancel the commission after the work has started, you must agree to pay the kill fee
- The kill fee for cancelling the commission after work has begun is 50% of the commission's price. You will then receive the work in the state that it is
- PayPal Specific:
- If you are getting a refund, do not request a PayPal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself
- If you request a PayPal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund, you will lose all aforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. I will decline the chargeback and supply PayPal with our conversations in which we talk about the commission as evidence that I have completed work for you. Furthermore, you will be blacklisted for commissioning me again
- Copyright & Usage
- I reserve the right to cancel and refund the order at any time for any reason
- I retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork
- I reserve the right to post the commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio as well as in publications such as art books
- I will not profit further from the commissioned artwork unless you break any of the terms
- You may upload the commissioned artwork to any website and social channel. Please make sure to give credit for the work!
- You may NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my consent. This includes removing my watermark
- You may NOT claim the artwork as your own
- You may NOT make profits from (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD services, making prints for selling, etc.) or use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes unless you have explicitly reached out prior to the commission as a professional/business and we (the customer and the artist) come to an agreement as to the duration, price and other related details in regards to the aforementioned work
